Picture this: You’re seated on the pier, recently rebuilt and well-maintained, the wooden planks beneath you providing a stark contrast against the swirling hues of Lake Powhatan. The lake, small yet mighty, constantly shrouds itself in an air of peaceful mystique as its deep cold waters hold a multitude of fish including trout, waiting patiently for your bait. Not too far off, the dam, a sight to behold, murmurs of times past and invokes an unwavering sense of adventure.

Relocate to the sandy beach and let your senses awaken. The sun-kissed sand under your feet yields to the pressure, a squirming sensation that quickly fires a burst of delight. The beach adjoins a limited swimming area where the warmth of summer’s halo is contained within the first three feet of water. Beyond that, the temperature drops swiftly, dipping down to 50 degrees.

The trails! Oh, the trails to be traversed, either on foot or mountain bike. Marinated in all-season wonder, these trails offer a plethora of fauna, fungi, and footprints from friendly wildlife that might wander on-site on starlit nights. Then there are the gravel grinding sets, a sugary edge to your glamping adventure’s daring side.
